Founders

Lucy and Ellis founded Workers2Work in 2011 to help nonprofits provide reliable cars for their low-wage-earning clients.  Partnering with organizations including Texas Workforce Commission, Goodwill Central Texas, LifeWorks Austin and many more, Workers2Work has put more than 150 families in a set of wheels and we have seen unbelievable results.

Our Success

  • A recovering meth addict became a full-time EMT.

  • A woman who endured two years of trafficking found stability, securing a job and starting a family.

  • An ex-offender launched her own business and authored a bestselling autobiography.

These are just a few of the incredible success stories we’ve witnessed—stories of resilience, hope, and transformation.

After a two-year pause, Workers2Work is relaunching with an innovative new approach. Instead of relying on donated or low-cost vehicles that often require constant repairs, we’re leveraging socially conscious microloans, backed by Workers2Work, to provide access to newer, more reliable cars.

Following two successful pilot programs, we are now expanding this model across Texas and beyond. Our first out-of-state chapter in Georgia officially launched in December 2024, and we’re excited to continue scaling this life-changing initiative.
